Continuous Improvement Implementation
A structured, practical approach for solving problems and improving business performance.

Overview
Continuous Improvement (CI) is a structured approach to identifying problems, analyzing root causes, and implementing solutions that create measurable and lasting results.
KID-CAN provides Lean Six Sigma facilitation, coaching, and tools that help teams understand their processes, reduce waste, and solve issues through disciplined, proven methods like PDCA, DMAIC, and Lean problem-solving.
Our Approach (DMAIC)
1. Define the Problem & Goal
Establish measurable targets for success.
4. Improve the Process
Design and test solutions that address verified causes.
2. Measure the Current State
Gather reliable data to establish the baseline.
5. Control &
Sustain
Monitor performance and embed long-term improvements.
3. Analyze Root Causes
Use tested & dependable tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Pareto Analysis to determine root causes.

Plan – Do – Check – Act Cycle (PDCA)
The PDCA Cycle is a simple but powerful framework for driving continuous improvement. It provides a structured, repeatable way for teams to test ideas, evaluate results, and make adjustments that lead to lasting change.
01
PLAN
Identify the problem, understand the current state, analyze root causes, and develop a targeted solution or experiment.
03
CHECK
Measure the results. Compare what happened to what you expected. Determine whether the change created the improvement you intended.
02
DO
Put the plan into action. Test the solution on a small scale to confirm whether it works before rolling it out broadly.
04
ACT
Standardize the solution if it worked — or adjust and try again if it didn’t. PDCA is iterative, meaning each cycle builds on the last.
